About Trevor “Traybeatz” Daal
Who Am I?
My name is Trevor Daal – known as Traybeatz. Born and raised in Amsterdam Zuidoost, with roots in Curaçao, I’ve been surrounded by music, culture, and creativity from the start. Influenced by my older siblings, I grew up on classics, from soul to hip-hop, which resonates in everything I play and produce.
My musical journey began as a rapper in primary school, soon followed by music production using FL Studio from an old demo CD. I started DJ’ing with Virtual DJ using a mouse and keyboard, progressing to Hercules controllers, and eventually mastering professional Pioneer gear in clubs. Everything I’ve learned was self-taught—the beautiful yet sometimes tough school of Zuidoost and Amsterdam’s club scene.
DJ & Producer with Global Experience
What began at house parties and neighborhood events evolved into an international career. For over a decade, I’ve DJ’d not only at private parties but also at clubs, weddings, corporate events, outdoor events, and artist shows. Whether urban, Latin, Afro, house, dancehall, Kizomba, classics, or a mix, I effortlessly adapt to every audience and style.
Throughout my career, I’ve mentored many other DJs, especially within the international Kizomba scene. The “hard way” from Zuidoost, combined with club lessons, shapes my unique style, allowing me to always remain authentic, no matter the stage.
Amsterdam Southeast: My Foundation
Southeast isn’t just home—it’s my foundation. Its energy, cultural blend, and raw character form the basis of my sound and vision. Here I learned authenticity, hard work, and openness. Every mix and beat is an ode to my roots.
